S&P Capital IQ Pro Release Highlights
In this release, we added new datasets and tools on Capital IQ Pro, designed to enhance our clients' daily workflows:
Energy & Commodities: Expanded Energy & Commodities News and Research with coverage across the global energy and commodities value chain, including agriculture, biofuels, chemicals, clean energy, LNG, metals, oil, power and renewables.
Document Intelligence: Introduced a dedicated Sector Reports tile for instant access to curated sector‑specific research and analysis.
Private Company Coverage: Expanded coverage of Malaysian private companies with additional firmographics, financials, and officers & directors data.
M&A Deals Valuation & Ratios: Enhanced valuation metrics and expanded general ratios using third-party private financials for private targets.
Insurance Product Filings Alerts: Enabled filing alerts from the Insurance Product Filings page for users to subscribe and monitor specific filing updates.
S&P Global Energy
In this release, we significantly expanded our Energy and Commodities News and Research content on S&P Capital IQ Pro for financial institutions' clients. Users can access comprehensive analysis, strategic insights, and timely news across the entire global energy and commodities value chain, including agriculture, biofuels, chemicals, clean energy, gas, liquefied natural gas, metals, oil, power, and renewables. These enhancements empower financial institutions to better navigate market volatility, identify growth opportunities, and manage risks with proprietary outlooks, price forecasts, and AI-powered insights.
S&P Global Energy & Commodities Research in Document Intelligence
Document Intelligence now features new Energy & Commodities research, including industry outlooks, supply & demand metrics by commodity, and detailed profiles of companies, assets, and countries. Users can efficiently discover, analyze, and extract insights from industry-leading, proprietary coverage across the full energy and commodities spectrum - from upstream operations to crude oil, refined products, agriculture, chemicals, and clean energy, streamlining workflows for market analysis and decision-making. AI-powered ChatIQ within Document Intelligence provides instant answers to natural language questions across individual or multiple research documents, while supporting in-document search, entity tagging, table extraction, and more.
Find it in the platform:
Navigate to the Documents tab in the top navigation to access Document Intelligence page
In the Document Type dropdown, select Sector Reports or choose a specific report subtype
Scroll to the Sector Reports widget
Within the widget, locate a document from S&P Global on the relevant energy or commodity topic

Find it in the platform:
News Page
o Navigate to the News tab in the top navigation and select News Home
o Select Commodities or add Commodities to your topics of interest from the See More Topics option
o Choose an article from Platts Markets
Company Profile
o Search for and select a company from the top search and navigate to its Corporate Profile
o In the left-hand navigation menu, select News
o Click All Sources and select the desired Platts source from the dropdown menu

Document Intelligence
In this release, we added a new Sector Reports tile in Document Intelligence, providing quick access to curated sector‑specific research and analysis.
Sector Reports in Document Intelligence
Users can perform cross-content search across S&P Global Commodities, Financials, Technology, Media & Telecom reports using the new Sector Reports tile within Document Intelligence. These documents will feature In-Document search, In-Document ChatIQ, and table extraction capabilities. The content in the tile is produced by S&P Global.
Find it in the platform:
Navigate to the Documents tab in the top navigation to access the Document Intelligence page
Scroll down to the new Sector Reports tile and select a document
When viewing the document, In-Doc Search is available on the left, ChatIQ on the right
For documents containing tables, hover over the table to enable the table extraction feature
Private Markets & Private Company
In this release, we expanded our private company data coverage for Malaysia, offering additional firmographics, financials and officers & directors data for small and medium enterprises.
Financials and Firmographics for Malaysian Private Companies
Users can now access expanded financial and firmographic data for small and medium enterprises in Malaysia, significantly enhancing private company coverage in this geography.

Directors & Officers Data for Malaysian Private Companies
Users can access additional officers and directors' data for small and medium enterprises in Malaysia , thereby significantly enhancing coverage in this geography.

Transactions
In this release, we enhanced valuation metrics and expanded general ratios coverage for M&A Deals by incorporating third-party private financials for private target companies.
Enhanced Valuations & General Ratios Using Third-Party Private Financials in M&A Deals
Users can now access enhanced private company valuations and expanded general ratios for M&A deals involving private company targets, leveraging third-party private financials available at the time of the transaction. This update provides users with richer insights, more accurate valuations, and additional deal multiples at the time of acquisition.
Find it in the platform:
Search for and select a private company with third-party private financials in the top search bar to navigate to the Corporate Profile, e.g., Ultra PCS Limited [MI Key: 112918865]
Expand Transactions in the left-hand navigation, and select the Detailed M&A History page
Open a M&A Deal Profile
Within the Valuations section, view the updated Valuation metrics:
o Transaction Value
o Gross Transaction Value
o Implied Enterprise Value
Navigate to the General Ratios widget within the Valuation section to view ratios now calculated using Third Party Private Financials:
o Implied Enterprise Value / Total Revenue
o Implied Enterprise Value / EBITDA
o Implied Enterprise Value / EBIT
o Implied Equity Value / Net Income
o Implied Equity Value / Book Value
Coverage stats:
30k+ M&A deals with improved valuations and additional general ratios, resulting in a 20% increase in our overall general ratio coverage
Alerts
In this release, we enabled users to receive specific alerts for filings from the Insurance Product Filings page.
Insurance Product Filings Alerts
Users can now create and manage Insurance Filing alerts based on their saved searches to receive notifications about new filings that meet their specified criteria.
Find it in the platform:
Navigate to the Insurance tab from the top navigation and click on Product Filings Search under U.S Rate Filings Analytical Tools
Make the desired selections from the filters and click on Apply Filter
Click Save on the top right corner to open the dialogue box My Saved Searches
Enter a custom name and click Save
Click on the Create Alert option at the top right corner of the page
Select the required saved search(s) to create an alert
Set the Type and Frequency as needed and click on Save Alert
Sustainability
In this release, we enhanced our environmental data offering to deliver greater transparency and faster access to emissions data. Users can now view third-party assurance and reporting boundary details for GHG emissions, supporting audit requirements and improving data quality.
Third-Party Assurance and Reporting Boundary Details in Environmental Profiles
Users can now access comprehensive third-party assurance details on environmental profile pages, including assurer details, assurance standard, level, and source for both As Reported and S&P Generated GHG emissions for Scope 1, 2, and 3, ensuring transparency into assured emissions data. These insights support audit requirements and improve PCAF data quality scores. Additionally, companies’ reporting boundaries for emissions and financial disclosures will be made available to enhance transparency.

Search for and select a target company in the top search bar and navigate to its Corporate Profile
From the left menu, navigate to Sustainability > Environmental Analytics, and select any of the pages - Environmental Profile, Environmental History, Environmental Briefing Archive
Or view the list of covered companies on the Sustainability Coverage List page under the Sustainability menu in the top navigation
In the row for your company of interest, locate the Environmental column and click Yes to navigate to the company’s Environmental Profile

Personalization
In this release, we introduced the Recent Links feature on the company profile page, enabling users to quickly access their recently visited pages, improving navigation efficiency and optimizing workflows on S&P Capital IQ Pro.
Recent Links on Company Profile
The Recent Links feature allows users to instantly access their five most recently visited pages on the company profile page, offering quick access to frequently viewed information without the need to navigate multiple sections of the platform.

Search and select a company in the top search to navigate to its Corporate Profile
In the left navigation, locate My Links at the top
Under My Links, find the recent links indicated by the recent icon
When you visit any page from the left-hand navigation, it will appear as recent links in the My Links section
The most recently visited page will be displayed at the top of the recent links list
