S&P Capital IQ Pro Release Highlights
In this release, we added new datasets and tools on Capital IQ Pro designed to enhance your daily workflows:
We are excited to introduce the Document Intelligence tool, which significantly enhances access to filings, transcripts, and investment research through a streamlined interface, featuring advanced search capabilities, saved searches, earnings call key phrases, and access to our AI-powered assistant ChatIQ to ask questions and gain insights for specific documents.
We upgraded Market Data Alerts to include key stock events such as stock splits, spin-offs, and dividend announcements.
We improved our Search experience by enhancing the company card view, introducing a Market Type filter for Wireless Licenses, and adding keyword mentions in Investment Research for better relevance and effectiveness.
We launched ChatIQ, an AI-powered assistant in S&P Capital IQ Pro that offers insights through natural-language queries, enabling users to seamlessly find answers to financial and business questions using S&P Capital IQ Pro data, with direct links to the underlying sources for further research.

Document Intelligence
In this release, we launched a new document workflow tool that will revolutionize the way users interact with textual content.
Document Intelligence
A new Generative AI-supported document workflow tool that enables smart search across Filings, Transcripts, News, and Investment Research, while also providing users with summaries, key phrases that highlight significant topics within earnings call transcripts, and NLP-derived sentiment scores. Users can also ask natural language questions on millions of documents to gain new insights such as those related to financial highlights, strategic initiatives and growth drivers of a company.
Find it in the platform:
Navigate to the Documents tab from the top navigation
If you don’t see it in the top navigation, select Documents from the Edit option in top navigation and Save
Click on the Documents tab to access the Document Intelligence page
Advanced Search Capability
Users can more easily find relevant documents using keywords and phrases with the expansion of the Boolean search feature to all content sets and the addition of the NEAR operator.

Click on the Documents tab to access the Document Intelligence page
Perform a keyword or key phrase search to find results across multiple documents
Saved Search
With the new Saved Search, users can save frequently used searches for easy access to their most valuable search queries. This provides access to the user's preferred content with a click of a button.

If you don’t see it in the top navigation, select Documents from the Edit option in top navigation and Save
Click on the Documents tab to access the Document Intelligence page
Apply any of the macro filters - Entity, Geography, Industry or Time Range
Click Save
Earnings Call Key Phrases
Within an earnings transcript, users can now find key phrases that are semantically and contextually similar. At a glance, a user can glean the key topics discussed from an earnings call, potentially identify early indicators of a company's emerging interest, and see how these topics have trended in the recent 6 quarters.
Find it in the platform:
Search for and select a company in the top search bar
Select Transcripts & Investor Presentations under News, Events and Filings in the left-hand menu
Open an Earnings Call in the Document Viewer
In the in-doc search panel on the left side, open the Key Phrases tab
ChatIQ for Transcripts and Filings
ChatIQ, a groundbreaking feature that provides an intelligent conversational experience, allows users to interact with documents, query within the documents by asking questions as you would with an expert, and obtain relevant insights instantly. The integration of this Gen-AI chat feature will enable users to gain swift access to information you seek, extract key takeaways quickly, and gain a deeper understanding of the content, facilitating faster decision-making.

Click on the Documents tab to access the Document Intelligence page
Apply any macro or keyword filters as needed
Navigate to the Filings or Transcripts widget to open a document
Navigate to the ChatIQ tab
Select from the suggested questions or enter your query
Alerts
In this release, we enhanced Market Data alerts to include key stock events such as stock splits, spin-offs, and dividend announcements.
Dividends, Stock Splits, and Spin-offs in Market Data Alerts
Users can now choose from an expanded range of criteria when creating Market Data alerts, including stock split announcements, spin-offs, dividend announcements, ex-dividend dates, and dividend pay dates.
Find it in the platform:
Expand the bell icon in the top-right navigation and select Create New Alert
Add an Alert Name and select the required Alert Settings
Under Alert Filters, add companies, lists, or portfolios
Select Market Data from the Alert Triggers menu
Navigate to the Other Market Data Alerts tab
Choose the relevant criteria for Stock Split Announcements or Dividend Announcements for the respective entities
Click Apply and Save in the top right corner
Search
In this release, we enhanced the company card in Search, providing comprehensive information and new features for a richer understanding of companies. We also introduced a new Market Type filter for Wireless Licenses and Wireless Markets in Advanced Search, allowing users interested in the wireless markets to refine their search results for greater relevance. Additionally, when searching for Investment Research, users can now view the frequency of their keyword or search terms, facilitating the identification of more pertinent results that align with their interests, and improving the effectiveness of their research.
Company Card Enhancements in Search
Users can now scroll through the Search results while keeping the company card content in full view, allowing for a more seamless navigation through search results with easy access to essential company information. Additionally, users can now be redirected to the company's Corporate Profile page by clicking on the company logo. This feature provides a quicker and more direct way to access additional company information.
Find it in the platform:
Navigate to the search bar within the top navigation menu and enter keywords to find the desired company
The company card will be displayed in All and Companies tabs within the search
Notice that the company card remains fixed and does not scroll while navigating through the results on the left side of the Top Search
Click on the company logo for direct access to the company's Corporate Profile page
Keyword Mentions for Investment & Market Research
Users can view the frequency of each permutation of their search terms within each Investment & Market Research document. This feature provides a better view of the search results that have higher relevance based on the specific mentions of search terms within investment research documents, saving users time.
Find it in the platform:
Navigate to the Research tab from the top navigation, and click on Investment & Market Research
Expand Filters, type your search terms in Enter a Search Term box within the Keywords section
Click Apply Filters
Market Type Filter for Wireless Licenses and Wireless Markets in Advanced Search
Users can filter for PAL D Market Type when searching for Wireless Licenses and Wireless Markets in Advanced Search.
Find it in the platform:
Navigate to the search bar within the top navigation menu
Click on Advanced Search at the bottom left of the search results
On the left-hand navigation, click Markets & Industry Assets > Wireless Licenses or Wireless Markets
Select PAL D from the Market Type dropdown
Implied Logical Operator ‘AND’ between Search terms
The logical operator ‘AND’ is now implied between search terms without the need for users to type it explicitly. This enhancement narrows search results to documents that contain all specified terms, simplifying the search process. Users can now conduct more precise and focused queries without including 'AND' between terms, saving time and ensuring that results are accurate and relevant.

Metals & Mining
In this release, we launched a quarterly Critical Minerals Briefing report that examines supply, demand, policy, and geopolitical narratives for various critical minerals so that users stay abreast of trends and themes related to the impact of the energy transition.

Users can access the Critical Minerals Briefing report every quarter in the Research Library. This report focuses on the past and future evolution of various critical minerals while highlighting geopolitical topics and impacts on supply and demand.

ChatIQ
In this release, select users will gain access to ChatIQ, a Generative AI (GenAI) assistant that enables users to ask questions on S&P Capital IQ Pro data, providing them with significant time-saving responses and simplifying navigation throughout the platform. This release provides ChatIQ access to U.S.based users with the Investment Banking profile. Throughout the remainder of this year and into 2025, more user profiles/client segments will have the access enabled.
ChatIQ
ChatIQ leverages a Large Language Model (LLM) that recognizes natural language patterns and delivers responses on select S&P Capital IQ Pro content. It also includes click-through to the source content or document within Capital IQ Pro. Users can ask a question on ChatIQ to quickly gain insights, verify accuracy and easily navigate the Capital IQ Pro platform.

This model allows for in-depth analysis of the latest 3, 5, and 10-year average performance of up to 50 comparable companies. #VA
Approximate 2023 risk-based capital (RBC) for individual health insurers and includes sensitivity analysis for predicting RBC changes over five future annual periods.
This model allows for quick peer comparisons of selected Valuation Multiples using Capital IQ Pro and Visible Alpha. The main tab provides an integrated view, prioritizing Pro formulas and utilizing Visible Alpha data when Pro data is not available. #VA
Canadian Insurance - Market Share Summary
Provides Market Share by line of business and province for P&C and Life Canadian & Foreign insurance companies using IFRS 17 disclosures. Also provides exhibits from Provincial and Territorial Summaries for the selected P&C company or the industry.
Approximately 2023 risk-based capital (RBC) for individual Life insurers, allows for an estimate of mid-year RBC and includes sensitivity analysis for predicting RBC changes over 5 future annual periods.
